The 30 Days Blog Challenge, Day 29: Must Do, At Least for the Next 30 Days.

Day 29 – Goals for the next 30 days.

While I am working on some items on my 2012 goals, I really need to focus first on 3 things:

  1. Fitness. I’m tired of being reminded by my jeans/shorts/skirts/basically-bottoms of the love handles I have to break up with. I’m sick of wanting to have my back stretched out because of the discomfort that scolio brings . Aaand…I’m scared of telling my future kids to go in the living room and play video games instead of having me run play chase with them in the backyard. I wantneed to get serious with eating right and exercising consistently! So if you see me reaching for junk food or sweets, please be a friend and grab my hand away from them.
    My fit-spiration. Hey, I can dream, can't I?

The 30 Days Blog Challenge, Day 27: Follow through.

Day 27 – A problem that you have had.

I plan a lot, and I mean, A LOOOT!!! I plan my day/week/year, what I’m going to eat/do/see…basically just anything! Of course, I do acknowledge that not all of my plans will fall according to my will and I still embrace those sneaky, spontaneous moments. But for most part of my life, my plans are reminders of what my dreams are and what I would like to accomplish – a bucket list, if you will.

BL.

Right now, my life’s list of To Do’s is growing. I take a step back and see how much time has passed and just a few of them has been done. I realize that I don’t even make the baby steps I need to do to even TRY to carry out them. This is where my problem enters… I have a problem following through. 😦

Trying It Out: TONYMOLY’s Egg Pore Series.

WARNING: Photos of my face might gross you out. If you’re on a diet, better read on my post before eating to curb your appetite.

DISCLAIMER: I have no affiliations with TONYMOLY and therefore, quite unfortunately for me, this is not a paid post. This is merely sharing to anyone who’d come across this site about the product I’ve tried.

Before I start. In lieu of Project Me! and my desperate need to start taking care of myself in all aspects, including physical, I’ve decided to share the adventures I’ve started to take with my black-headed, pore-ful nose. I’ve never given special care to any part of my face apart from the usual wash-tone-moisturize ritual I do every night. However, as 2012 neared and I literally looked at myself in the mirror, I saw my sad nose and the awful company it has.

Blackheaded nose.

Blackheaded nose.

Tony Who? I stumbled on TONYMOLY while I was in South Korea November of last year.  TONYMOLY is one of the many companies in South Korea which provides products dedicated to the skin. “TONY” is an English word that means “stylish”; while “MOLY” is a Japanese word that means “to box something”. Combining the 2 words, TONYMOLY means “a place to put style into packaging”.  Established in July 2006, TONYMOLY has worked endlessly on research and developments to offer a cosmetics brand that excel in quality, priced reasonably and fulfill the modernized customer’s needs. In a gist, TONYMOLY embodies SKIN REVOLUTION.

Of all the products they offer, the Egg Pore Series caught my interest. Okay, my interest was sparked with 2 reasons: 1) One of my friends wanted to buy it because she’s heard it was a great product to minimize the black/white heads and the pores plus 2) The packaging was cute! 😛

The 3 Eggs!

The 3 Eggs!

Count your Eggs before they Hatch. There are 3 items, which I will now refer to as “eggs”, in the Egg Pore Series. Let me get to each of them:

[A] Egg Pore Blackhead Out Oil Gel. This is an oil gel which remove dead skin, white/blackheads, excess sebum and dirt in your pores. Since it’s gel, there’s a lightweight feeling as you scrub the troubled area with it. This also has Camellia Flower Extract, which has excellent skin restructuring and moisturizing properties

Egg #1: Blackhead Out Oil Gel.

[B] Egg Pore Tightening Pack. Also contaning Camellia Flower Extract, “Egg #2” regulates the excess sebum and dirt then tightnes the pores. It has some clay components such as Bentonite (highly absorbent, good for oily skin, gives a slippery silkiniess to the skin) and Kaolin (gives a silkiness and creaminess to the product), which both absorb dirt and sebumin  the pores and give deep cleansing effect.

Egg #2: Tightening Pack.

[C] Egg Pore Silky Smooth Balm. This generally acts like a primer hiding the loose pores, fine wrinkles and scars. This also has the same Camellia Flower Extract as in Egg #s 1 & 2 but with an additional Skin Growth Complex, which helps in strengthening the elasticity of the skin

Egg #3: Silky Smooth Balm.

There’s a Snail on my Face!

Not an actual snail, though. Just liquids secreted from a snail. Snail’s mucin, to be specific.   🙂

Last night, when I decided to lounge on the living room sofa and read a book, I also decided to try using one of the face masks I bought from South Korea November of last year. Because I (and my South Korea trip buds) believe Koreans have the best skin and have a great skin regimen we bought the “poshest” sounding ones: caviar and wine. Although for the Snail Mucin Hi-collagen essence mask, it may sound yucky but it’s the best-selling one (as per the Korean saleswoman tugging me and my friend in the store).

Face masks.

Face masks.

Since the snail mucin is all the rave in skin care, I chose Snail Mucin Hi-collagen essence mask.

Snail Mucin...sounds slimy! :P

Snail Mucin...sounds slimy! 😛

The package has the following keywords: Ultra moisture, High elastic and Brightening.

The promise.

The promise.

Given that, I expected that after using the face mask, my face would feel much softer and look more healthy. Let’s see if that’s the result! 🙂

Say hello to Still In The Making.

Well, hello back at ya!:)

I’m Cathy and today I am “launching” this blog along with welcoming my 26th year in life. This blog is my birthday gift challenge to myself. I’ve already stepped into the Quarter Life Crisis zone last year with the intentions of writing more in my personal journal to hone whatever writing skills I might have; then I thought, “Why not step it up a notch?”.  So here I am, on my first post, wondering if I really am allowing myself to write what’s on my mind and letting other folks (whoever would stumble on this blog) read and comment on it. Well, if this post gets published after I type up the last character, I guess I need not wonder anymore.

So why “Still In The Making”? Despite having 3 years being spoon fed by my parents and a yaya, 3 years in pre-school, 7 years in grade school, 4 years in high school, 4 years in college and 3 years in the working force, I  have yet to learn a lot with life. See here, I’m a girl in her mid-twenties without any knowledge or experience on how to put on eyeshadow or nail polish. Add to that fact that I’ve had an IT  education and work but until now, I have just an inkling on what exactly I’d want to end up in my chosen career path. Plus, there are some beliefs and principles I’ve had that I want to work on.

Through this blog, I post and share all the anecdotes, thoughts, opinions and realizations on objects, places, issues, situations and folks I come to face with. Hopefully, I would be able to use my posts as “notes” and “reminders” on the hardest but rewarding subject there is, life. 🙂
