F21’s Beadwork.

Sometimes it’s the littlest details that make something truly stand out. I say this to give a somehow-sound reason for why my credit card underwent swiping when I promised it a September break. ;P

I’d like to blame Globe for its sucky service last Sunday at SM Mall of Asia because I couldn’t get a hold of (text AND call) the boyf when we got separated in the huge crowd. If I got to contact the boyf, I’d have the supervision I badly needed then. But, alas, without the boyf and with my willpower losing to sight of big signs with “SALE” on it, I succumbed to buying 3 accessories from Forever 21. Yikes!

All 3 accessories are made of plastic beads, which you’d think wouldn’t give an oomph; but you just have to see them for yourselves! 🙂

Here I Go Again!

August is just around the corner and I’m EXCITED!!! I welcome August as if it’s a new year, which, technically for me, it is on the 16th. Apart from it being my birthday month, it’s also my dad’s, my older brother’s and sister’s (twins!) and my boyfriend’s. Plus, since I was a kid, I’ve experienced August as being jam packed with celebrations, activities and events. From my grade/high school alma mater, we had Friendship day, Linggo ng Wika, Sabayang Pagbigkas, Intramural Opening, St. Augustine’s day, a Augustinian father’s (Fr. Rodriguez or Fr. Manzano?) birthday and a few others I might have forgotten.:D

A few more weeks ’til I turn to the age of the only odd number I like and ’til my blog turns 1! I’m ready to enjoy this month! Of course, what would be more enjoyable for someone who would be celebrating her birthday than the possibility of gifts!!! Yes, here I go again with my birthday wish list! For friends who read my blog, here’s your chance to shop for my birthday gift without straining out your mind for ideas. 😛

Before I start, there’s actually one thing I would like to ask from my reader/s (I’m assuming it would be more than 1 :P) for my birthday that doesn’t involve wrapping it in sparkly/colorful paper. I ask that if you could, on my birthday, pray for my soon-to-be-6-y/o god daughter that she would be able to walk on her own. There has been complications during her birth that had affected the part of her brain that controls her ability to walk. I would like to see Tricia, my god daughter, run towards me to hug me when she visits us here at home. 🙂

So on to the more ‘superficial’ stuff… 😛

Accessorize-ing.

Clothes, shoes, accessories, makeup and hair are some of the girl-related topics that I still have A LOT to learn on. It’s only when I turned 25 last year that I consciously made efforts, slowly and with caution, in experimenting and discovering what I may or may not like within the realm of girl-world. One of the discoveries I made would be my fondness for necklaces, especially those with cute “statement” pendants or chunky colorful beads.

While window-shopping around Greenbelt with a girlfriend sometime last year, I’ve chanced upon a shop with a captivating window display filled with accessories, bags and scarves. The shop’s name? Accessorize!

Accessorize is a fashion accessory company that originated from United Kingdom.  From its first store in London’s Covent Garden Piazza, Accessorize now has over 600 stores worldwide. So far, I’ve been to 3 of their branches in the Philippines (Greenbelt 5, Makati; Festival Mall, Alabang; Alabang Town Center, Alabang) and 1 in Singapore.

Whenever in Greenbelt, I go by Accessorize and check out the merchandise; so yesterday, I pulled my boyf to the store for my usual browsing. The accessories are a bit pricey, in my opinion, but I take into consideration the unique designs and the quality of the items.

My supposedly “browse only” promise to myself turned into “buying myself a reward for a good work week”. Eeeep! Swiped with my HSBC Mabuhay Miles credit card, I got myself a necklace and a charm bracelet. Sooo cute! Lookie at the snapshots below (my photo taking skills need more practice).
