F21’s Beadwork.

Sometimes it’s the littlest details that make something truly stand out. I say this to give a somehow-sound reason for why my credit card underwent swiping when I promised it a September break. ;P

I’d like to blame Globe for its sucky service last Sunday at SM Mall of Asia because I couldn’t get a hold of (text AND call) the boyf when we got separated in the huge crowd. If I got to contact the boyf, I’d have the supervision I badly needed then. But, alas, without the boyf and with my willpower losing to sight of big signs with “SALE” on it, I succumbed to buying 3 accessories from Forever 21. Yikes!

All 3 accessories are made of plastic beads, which you’d think wouldn’t give an oomph; but you just have to see them for yourselves! ๐Ÿ™‚

DSF #4.

It’s been a looong time since I shared some of my pretty and somewhat-cheaper shopping finds. So let me revive my Department Store Finds (DSF) posts with another pair of shoes I bought from SM.

Come on, click on the cut link…you know you want to. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The 30 Days Blog Challenge, Day 22: Me, Only Better.

Day 22 – How have you changed in the past 2 years?

I’m a work in progress. My life, as this blog implies, is still in the making. There’s still a lot more of life’s experiences I have yet to meet. However, If I have to look back in the last 2 years and share what has changed in/with me, I’d say I’ve:

  • Become a tad bit girlier. Believe it or not, I’m a tomboy (well, not the nik-nok kind, as my current officemates would term a lesbian). I could teach you a bit of Nihongo; but I could never give you advice about what to wear to a party. I would rather paint a room’s wall than paint my (non-existent) finger/toe nails. However, I’ve started to “girl-up” and dabble into the wonderful world of skirts, high-heels, lipsticks and more! ๐Ÿ˜€
It helps when you're surrounded with fashionista friends!

  • Managed to smile more and be more optimistic. A few years back, I was one big grouch. Certain circumstances and events then made me pessimistic and paranoid. I forgot that for me to feel helpless and hopeless, I would have to let others make me feel that way and this made me retreat, which was a great idea. Slowly, I started to be more tough and infuse positivity along it. Sure I still look like a snob from time to time but if you do get to know me, I’m actually a crybaby. If you’re desperate to make me smile, just point a camera at me and I’ll flash you a winning one! Hahaha! :))
I was crying my eyes out here but showed my pearly whites when I sensed a camera nearby. Haha!

  • Deepened my love for travel. I thank my parents, most especially my dad, for bringing me up with a love for travel. The last 2 years, I’ve added 2 new countries into my list:ย  Japan with my family and Korea with some of my office friends. I love being able to experience what a country and its culture and people can offer. You get to realize what a big and wonderful world we have and that God did such a masterpiece.
In Osaka, Japan, my dad & I tie up our own fortunes in a shrine, as a sign of fatih in the gods that they will fulfill it.

With the way things are going, I’d say life’s great! Just as long as I continue to focus on the good and positive things that happen and let the bad and negative ones serve as a life lesson. ๐Ÿ™‚

Trying It Out: TONYMOLY’s Egg Pore Series.

WARNING: Photos of my face might gross you out. If you’re on a diet, better read on my post before eating to curb your appetite.

DISCLAIMER: I have no affiliations with TONYMOLY and therefore, quite unfortunately for me, this is not a paid post. This is merely sharing to anyone who’d come across this site about the product I’ve tried.

Before I start. In lieu of Project Me! and my desperate need to start taking care of myself in all aspects, including physical, I’ve decided to share the adventures I’ve started to take with my black-headed, pore-ful nose. I’ve never given special care to any part of my face apart from the usual wash-tone-moisturize ritual I do every night. However, as 2012 neared and I literally looked at myself in the mirror, I saw my sad nose and the awful company it has.

Blackheaded nose.

Blackheaded nose.

Tony Who? I stumbled on TONYMOLY while I was in South Korea November of last year.ย  TONYMOLY is one of the many companies in South Korea which provides products dedicated to the skin. “TONY” is an English word that means “stylish”; while “MOLY” is a Japanese word that means “to box something”. Combining the 2 words, TONYMOLY meansย “a place to put style into packaging”.ย  Established in July 2006, TONYMOLY has worked endlessly on research and developments to offer a cosmetics brand that excel in quality, priced reasonably and fulfill the modernized customer’s needs. In a gist, TONYMOLY embodies SKIN REVOLUTION.

Of all the products they offer, the Egg Pore Series caught my interest. Okay, my interest was sparked with 2 reasons: 1) One of my friends wanted to buy it because she’s heard it was a great product to minimize the black/white heads and the pores plus 2) The packaging was cute! ๐Ÿ˜›

The 3 Eggs!

The 3 Eggs!

Count your Eggs before they Hatch. There are 3 items, which I will now refer to as “eggs”, in the Egg Pore Series. Let me get to each of them:

[A] Egg Pore Blackhead Out Oil Gel. This is an oil gel which remove dead skin, white/blackheads, excess sebum and dirt in your pores. Since it’s gel, there’s a lightweight feeling as you scrub the troubled area with it. This also has Camellia Flower Extract, which has excellent skin restructuring and moisturizing properties.ย

[B] Egg Pore Tightening Pack. Also contaning Camellia Flower Extract, “Egg #2” regulates the excess sebum and dirt then tightnes the pores. It has some clay components such as Bentonite (highly absorbent, good for oily skin, gives a slippery silkiniess to the skin) and Kaolin (gives a silkiness and creaminess to the product), which both absorb dirt and sebuminย  the pores and give deep cleansing effect.

Egg #2: Tightening Pack.

[C] Egg Pore Silky Smooth Balm. This generally acts like a primer hiding the loose pores, fine wrinkles and scars. This also has the same Camellia Flower Extract as in Egg #s 1 & 2 but with an additional Skin Growth Complex, which helps in strengthening the elasticity of the skin

Egg #3: Silky Smooth Balm.
